The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum

The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum is located just outside Grand Prairie Alberta way up north. The collection holds Al Lakusta’s discovery from the nearby Pipestone Creek Bonebed. The area is dense with lush forests, not your typical fossil dig. And this is what makes Al’s find all the more important. The bonebed holds dozens and possibly hundreds of members of a herd of Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai who died all at once in a riverbed. It is one of the densest bonebeds in the world!
